Work has started
on the
2009 Chamber Directory
The iconic, neon UKIAH
theater sign, pictured on the front cover
of the 2008Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce
Business Directory, was captured by Suzette
Cook during the 2004 renovation. Provided
with a cornucopia of professional photos
from Suzette, Powerhouse’s graphic
coordinator Mike Gutierrez delivered with
a design and layout intended to capture a
reader’s imagination in the greater
Ukiah area and more specifically the business
environment. The true value of the directory
is included in both the directory of chamber
members and a directory of services provided
by members. Used by new residents, tourists,
and business people the directory is a great
resource for those trying to orientate themselves
to the local community. The Ukiah Chamber
office provides the directory directly to
requests from new residents, tourists, potential
residents, business travelers and other chamber
members. The directory has also benefited
from being distributed by chamber members
such as real estate agents, hotels, professionals,
and governmental agencies.

The preparation for the 2009
Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce Business
Directory is underway. For the second year,
local publisher Powerhouse will produce the
directory. This includes creating a theme,
gathering images, providing advertising opportunities
for chamber members and delivering a high,
quality publication. For the 2009 directory,
we hope to increase the exposure to the wine
industry and create a section to highlight
Chamber members’ websites.
