The Chamber's success is achieved through the involvement and participation of its members. The 16-voting member Board of Directors is elected from the membership. The Board establishes the policies of the Chamber and defines the goals and objectives that determine the direction of the organization.

The work of the Chamber is carried out by the Board, the staff and the following committees each with their own area of responsibility.
The Ambassadors assist with Chamber public relations. It is this group who organizes a majority of the networking events, the New Member Orientation programs, member visits and works in partnership with the Marketing and Membership Committees to present additional member services. The Ambassadors meet the second Tuesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m.* See current list of Chamber Ambassadors.

The Education Committee is responsible for the development and administration of Chamber seminars, trainings and educational materials. The Education Committee works in partnership with Mendocino College for many of the Chamber's educational training opportunities.

The Marketing Committee oversees all Chamber publications, the website www.ukiahchamber.com, all Chamber tourism promotion efforts and the development of gateway signs and other similar promotions. The Marketing Committee also serves one of the liaisons between the Chamber and the Mendocino County Alliance for promotion of the inland Mendocino County area.

The Membership Committee is responsible for developing and administering programs and procedures for member recruitment and retention. The committee works in partnership with the Ambassadors on producing and providing member service programs and is also responsible for producing the annual Membership Meeting and Community of Champions Luncheon.

There are also a number of short term, task oriented committees for the organization of events, Small Town Christmas, Ukiah Country PumpkinFest) and programs (Holiday Trolley, Annual Installation Luncheon, Redwood Empire Business Expo).

* Occasionally meeting days and times are changed for the convenience of Committee Members. Please contact the Chamber (info@ukiahchamber.com) to confirm meeting dates and locations.
